What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of data stored on your device when you use a website or app. We use them to keep the app working, remember your choices, and — only with your consent — understand how the app is used and show advertising.

The categories we use

• Essential (always active): required for the app to work — keeping you signed in, keeping the app secure, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
• Functional (optional): remember convenience preferences, such as your theme (light or dark), your language, the position and state of the chat widget, and your message drafts. Without your consent, these preferences are simply not stored.
• Analytics (optional): help us understand how the app is used, through Google Firebase Analytics, so we can improve it. Analytics never runs unless you consent — and stops if you withdraw consent.
• Advertising (optional): let Google AdMob show ads in the app, limit how often you see the same one, and measure whether it worked. AdMob may use an advertising identifier held by your device. No ads are requested at all unless you consent.

Your consent

The first time you use TuComidApp, a banner asks you to accept all, reject all, or manage your preferences by category. Nothing optional is stored until you choose. Rejecting everything leaves only essential cookies active — and the app keeps working normally, without ads.

Consent is stored on your device along with the date you gave it, so we can show you when you last updated your choices. We never share your name, email, messages, orders, or discovery preferences with an advertising provider.

Changing your mind

You can change your cookie preferences at any time from Profile > Settings > Privacy > Cookie preferences. Your choices take effect immediately: withdrawing analytics consent stops measurement, withdrawing advertising consent stops ads being requested, and withdrawing functional consent stops preference storage. On iOS, the operating system also asks you separately before any tracking identifier can be used, and a refusal there overrides everything else.
